Description

The Pentair Ignitor Hot Surface With Gasket (2400-286) is a high-performance hot surface ignitor designed for PowerMax PM 500–2000 Commercial Pool Heaters. This silicon carbide “glow bar” ignitor is responsible for initiating ignition when the system calls for heat, indicated by the red "IGNITER" light on the control panel. After ignition, it functions as a flame sensor, ensuring ongoing burner safety and operation.

Note: Two ignitors are required for PM heater models 1000–2000. Always replace the included gasket when installing a new ignitor.
