About Trio
The Soft Soak Trio Kit is compatible with both chlorine and bromine sanitizers, and you are also able to use either a granular or tab application with this system. Sanitizers are always your first step to regulating biofilm in your water – biofilm is a slimy substance that comes from body oils, skin cells, lotions and cosmetics that naturally come off your body while in the spa - Pool and Hot Tub Depot has a handy kit that includes a bromine sanitizer as well as bromine test strips for a complete Soft Soak Trio starter kit. The oxidizer used in Trio will help to destroy these microorganisms and contaminants and remove them from your water. This kit will also work in harmony with any UV system, ozonator or mineral device, complimenting your existing water care devices.
Stain and scale protection has been worked into the system to help prevent scale buildup and staining, though it may not be enough to hamper scale in places with higher calcium hardness. Scale tends to form when spas are kept at higher temperatures.
Restoring Spa Cleanser is the final, and a very important part, of the Trio program and preforms cleansing and purging functions akin to similar hot tub purging products. Under everyday circumstances the Trio program does not require additional purging products to be used, unless you have a troubled spa or you are changing a well loved spa over to the Trio program.
How to Use
The Soft Soak Trio Kit is designed to make your water maintenance easy and worry free. Within the box you receive a 3 month supply of your water treatment products.
It comes with:
-1 packet of Soft Soak Trio Enhancing Water Softener
-13 packets of the Soft Soak Trio Weekly Purifying Treatment
-1 packet of Soft Soak Trio Spa Cleanser.
Once you have finished the 12 week program it is time to drain you spa and start fresh with a new box.
The initial step in the Trio program is designed to soften the water and add to the feel of the fresh fill during the 12 week program. You start by adding the Soft Soak Trio Enhancing Water Softener to your freshly filled spa, empty the entire packet into hot spa water with pumps and jets off. At this point you will need to add the sanitizer of your choice and any other necessary products if determined by testing your water with testing strips. If adjusting pH or alkalinity note that it may take a few hours for your test strips to reflect the changes in water chemistry.
The next step is the Soft Soak Trio Weekly Softener and Clarifier. This product is added during the initial setup and again once a week for the next 12 weeks. Used in conjunction with chlorine or bromine, the weekly softener and clarifier will take the guess work out of keeping your water soft, fresh and clear. The active-oxygen based recipe helps to eliminate water impurities and prevents corrosion and scaling on surfaces, while renewing the silky soft water in your spa. Empty 1 packet directly into hot tub with pump on, let circulate for 15 minutes. The Soft Soak Trio Weekly Softener and Clarifier is to be used weekly along with test strips to test that all water chemicals are balanced.
The final step in the Soft Soak Trio cycle is the Soft Soak Trio Restoring Spa Cleanser. It is used at the end of the 12 week program before draining and refilling your spa. Restoring Spa Cleanser disintegrates accumulated gunk from inside pipes and on surfaces, such as personal care products, dirt and debris, to return your hot tub to tip top condition. Cleaning the interior and pipes of your hot tub is essential to keeping your spa working at optimal performance levels. Empty the entire packet into hot tub water with jets on and circulate water for 15 minutes. Shut the jets off and completely drain water. Refill with fresh water and start with a new Soft Soak Trio Kit.
