The Pentair IntelliChem ORP Sensor 522187 gives fast and accurate Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) readings helping your IntelliChem system to properly monitor the health and needs of your pool. These readings measures the water's ability to oxidize or reduce, essentially indicating the effectiveness of the sanitizer (like chlorine) and the overall cleanliness of the pool water.

Keep Your Sensors Clean

Regular cleaning is important to keep your sensors working well. How often you clean them will depend on how busy your pool or spa is and your specific water conditions.

Here's a simple way to do it:

1. Turn off the controller and feeders. Close the flow cell valves.
2. Remove the sensors by unscrewing them by hand and disconnecting the connectors. Place the sensors in a clean container filled with water to keep the tips wet.
3. Clean the sensors using a soft toothbrush and regular toothpaste, focusing on the white ring and sensor tips.
   1. If you notice any oil or calcium buildup, use a mild degreasing detergent to scrub it off.
4. Rinse the sensors in the clean water you set aside.
5. Wrap fresh Teflon tape on the threads and reinstall the sensors, tightening them by hand
6. Reconnect to the controller and manually test and adjust the water balance.
