The cover basket is different then the typical cover lifter, it is mounted to the back of the hot tub. The 3" or 4" hot tub cover is folder over then slid into the forks of the cover basket, once the hot tub cover is fully inserted into the forks it can be lifted and the cover basket will hold hold the cover in place on the side of the spa in and upright position.
