This Waterway Viper hot tub pump is rated for 4HP and features 2 speeds with a high volume flow rate that is almost double the gallon per minute flow rate compared to the same size Waterway Executive 56. The 2.5" intake and discharge threads are only available on the Viper series spa pump.

The Waterway Viper 4HP pump has a very high flow rate of around 400 Gallons per minute which is almost double that of the same size Waterway Executive 56 Frame pump. When replacing your spa pump always replace it with the same size pump or as close to the size of the old pump without going to a larger size. If a pump is installed that has a higher flow rate and draws more amps at high speed than your old pump did, it will over load the electrical system to the hot tub and cause the pump to work much harder as the hot tubs plumbing system would not have been designed for eventually overheating the larger pump causing it to shut down.
