This Smart low-flo heater assembly is designed to replace the Sundance Spas 6500-310 heater and is also a compatible replacement for the Jacuzzi 6500-843. It includes a hi-limit disc, as well as red and black wires to connect it to the circuit board (plug not included for Jacuzzi). However, it's important to note that the earlier models of the 6500-310 heaters, built before 2002, have a hi-limit temperature probe inserted into the hole beside the hi-limit disc that is connected to the circuit board. Please note that this heater assembly does not include the hi-limit probe.

Heater details:

  • 230 Volts, 60 Hz
  • 5.5kw (5500 Watts)
  • 3/4" barb fittings
  • Titanium long life element
  • Made by Balboa in the USA
  • Plug for Jacuzzi not included

Compatible replacement for:

  • Jacuzzi J-400 heater 6500-843, 09/2015 to present
  • Jacuzzi J-500 heater 6500-843, 2015+
  • Sundance Spas* 850 & 880 Series heater 6500-310, 2000 to present

*Some of the Smart Heaters in Sundance Spas built between January 1st to June 12 of 2000 had a PC board on the heater, since June 13, 2000 the pc board has not been used on the Smart Heaters and is not needed.

Important Product Note:

The Hi-limit probe is not included with this heater, which is a bullet style sensor that slides into the drywell at the bottom of the heater. The high limit probe is siliconed in the old heaters and can be removed and reuse with this new heater if your heater was made after April 2007. If you have an older original heater made prior to April 2007 than you will also need to order a new hi-limit sensor part number 6600-144 as the old OEM sensor is to large to fit into the new heater's sensor well. Do not try to force the older larger sensor into drywell as it can crack the heater which would not be covered by the manufacturers warranty.
